Welcome to the Student Services Monthly Checklist!

March Highlights: room selection for the 2025–2026 academic year and important reminders for graduating students.

Action Items

Note that room selection for the 2025–2026 academic year is open after Spring Break, beginning March 10.

Please note that the room selection process for next year occurs after Spring Break. Your student account must be up to date to participate. Please check your balance on the MyBill option in the and ensure your account is resolved. Contact the Office of Student Services with any questions or concerns.

Note the Easter Weekend and Patriot's Day dates.

No classes will be held from Thursday, April 17 until Monday, April 21.Ìý

Note that, on March 1, all "I" (Incomplete) grades from the fall 2024 semester will change automatically to "F" (Failure).

Please contact your faculty member to resolve this issue prior to March 1. If you have additional questions, please visit your Academic Dean's office.

Save the date for the Commencement Fair (graduating students).

The ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Bookstore will be holding a Commencement Fair on March 12 and 13 in McElroy Commons for all students participating in the May 2025 Commencement ceremony. Students will be able to order their cap and gown, class ring, personalized announcements, and more. If you have any questions, please call 617-552-4923 or email Chris Bergin at berginch@bc.edu.

Register for Graduation.

All graduating students must register to graduate.Ìý The link to register for graduation will be available on Tuesday, March 18 on the Commencement website .Ìý

Students who graduated in August 2024, December 2024 or are graduating in May 2025 are eligible to attend the May graduation.

Run a degree audit in the  (graduating seniors).

Look for the following message: "ALL REQUIREMENTS COMPLETED --- IN-PROGRESS COURSES USED." If a student does not receive this message, he/she will not meet the requirements for graduation and will not receive a degree. Please reach out to the appropriate academic contact (MCAS — Karen Livingston; CSOM, CSON, and LSEHD — Jenna Burke) or your advisor or Academic Dean immediately to resolve any graduation clearance issue.

Complete your Student Loan Exit Interview (graduating students).

Students graduating in May who have borrowed a Federal Stafford or a Federal GradPlus loan should complete an online exit interview at the Ìý·É±ð²ú²õ¾±³Ù±ð.

Students who have borrowed a Federal Perkins loan, ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Law Loan, or ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Federal Nursing Loan will need to complete their exit interview at the . You will receive an e-mail from ECSI with instructions.

Note the returning undergraduate financial aid application deadline.

The 25–26 ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Financial Aid Application is available online.ÌýThe financial aid priority filing date is March 1.ÌýPlease review the  for the complete list of documents needed for your financial aid application.Ìý

Returning Undergraduate Financial aid award notifications will be released in late June/early July.

Graduate and Law students, note the start of the 2025–2026 financial aid application process.

Please upload the required documents for your 2025–2026 financial aid file to . Include your ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Eagle ID on all documents.Ìý 

If a student does not want to receive federal financial aid, they do not need to complete the FAFSA.

Still haven't received your 1098-T form yet?

1098-T forms were mailed to students' home addresses on file. If you did not receive your 1098-T, or if you need another copy, you can access your form on the web at . For more information, visit the Billing page.

Are you an incoming, returning, or transfer student?

Complete the steps outlined in the following checklists:

Note the withdrawal deadline.

The last day to withdraw from a course or the University is April 22.

Sign up for direct deposit.

As a graduating student, any unused meal credits over $5 will be refunded to your student account after Commencement. These amounts or any other payments being credited to your account may leave you with a refundable balance on your ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ account at the end of the school year.

The easiest and fastest way for Student Services to refund any credit balance to you is via direct deposit.ÌýWe encourage you to sign up for direct deposit so that we are able to refund any credit balance to you quickly.

Looking for a job?

The Summer 2025 job opportunities will be available on the Student Employment Job Listings page beginning in April.Ìý The ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Career Center offers plenty of resources as well as tips on writing great resumes and cover letters when applying for student jobs.ÌýFor students who have secured an on-campus job for the first time, please be sure to bring forms of identification (such as but not limited to, a valid/unexpired U.S. Passport, or a combination of a valid driver’s license or Eagle ID card ²¹²Ô»åÌýSocial Security card or birth certificate) in original formats.ÌýNo pictures or photocopies will be accepted. A full list of acceptable documents for Form I-9 completion can be found on the .ÌýInternational F-1 students will need to bring in their valid Foreign Passport along with their Forms I-94 ²¹²Ô»åÌýI-20 and Employment Authorization Letter from the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS).

Ongoing Reminders

Sign a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (if applicable).

Complete Title IV Authorization (if applicable).

Federal regulations require that Title IV funds credited to your student account be applied only to cover allowable charges, unless ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ obtains authorization to apply these funds to all other charges on your student account. You may submit your authorization electronically at www.bc.edu/myservices. For more information, visit the BillingÌý±è²¹²µ±ð.

Complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling (if applicable).

Enroll in direct deposit for student account refunds (if applicable).

We recommend that all students use direct deposit when requesting refunds. Refunds processed via direct deposit are faster and do not require pickup. Visit the Billing page for instructions and more information.
