Visiting Assistant Professor of German Studies
Description
The Department of Eastern, Slavic, and German Studies at ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor in German Studies for the academic year 2025–2026 to teach advanced language and culture courses in German and Core literature/culture courses in English.
This is a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment with a 3/3 teaching load for a non-renewable term beginning July 1, 2025. Courses to be taught tentatively include advanced German language courses and two courses conducted in English that conform to the learning goals of the University Core Program.
Qualifications
We seek a colleague with native or near-native fluency in German, Ph.D. in hand by July 1, evidence of excellence in teaching German at the college level, and willingness to participate actively in the life of the department. We are especially interested in candidates who can participate and teach effectively in inter- and cross-disciplinary programs across the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences. Preference is for candidates with training in pre-1900 German Studies.

The Department of Eastern, Slavic, and German Studies is regularly looking to fill Part-Time Lecturer positions in Arabic, German, Hebrew, Russian, Persian, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean at the Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.
