About the Conference:
The 2025 NANDA-I Conference, in conjunction withÌýThe Institute of Health Sciences at Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisbon) and ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ (USA), will be hosted in Lisbon, Portugal. The theme of the conference isÌýTransformative nursing: Knowledge in motion, synergy in practice.ÌýOur invited keynote speakers have been asked to address themes including: the transformative nature of nursing knowledge, and its importance in advancing nursing practice to serve all people;Ìýis there room for nursing knowledge in the future of interdisciplinary care? These issues are not country-specific; they are global in nature. They are not solely theoretical; they have real-life, practical implications. And the possibilities that these speakers have the ability to present include pathways that can refocus our profession, build community around our discipline and the need for our unique voice and holistic focus, and can provide clinicians with tools and insights to ensure we are there to serve those who need aÌýnurse, not merely a helper to other professions.
Conference Objectives:
- Promote international collaboration and synergy in research and implementation projects using NANDA-I nursing diagnoses at regional and national levels.
- Discuss the evidence-based implications for standardized nursing language in transforming education, practice, knowledge, and policy development for nurses.
- Listen to clinicians' experiences to understand the relationship between nursing language in theory and nursing language in practice.
- Explore using data to achieve nursing excellence in education, practice, knowledge, and policy.
- Develop opportunities and challenges for incorporating standardized nursing language into big data platforms.
- Describe current systems for data collection, storage, retrieval, and its use in healthcare settings.
