Zane FitzGerald, LICSW, received an MSW from Fordham University with a concentration in Client Centered Management and a specialization in Social Work and the Law.
Zane has worked in child welfare settings, child and adolescent residential treatment programs, community based child, youth and family services, community-based and residential services with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, and human services administration.
The past 15 years have been spent with Eliot Community Human Services, a large and diverse human services non-profit in Massachusetts. The past eight years have included both adjunct teaching in the Graduate School of Social Service, and facilitating workshops with Continuing Education at ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ.
Zane adheres to a Scholar-Practitioner model in his work in the field and in teaching, and is committed to the dissemination and implementation of evidence based practices. The prevalence and critical impact of trauma and traumatic stress on development, attachment, mental and physical health has driven efforts to ensure trauma informed care is a foundation of practice across settings.
Zane has been trained in, and has trained others in, evidence based treatments and has integrated components and interventions into a variety of settings.
Zane has been a practicing clinician for nearly 20 yeas across a variety of settings.
