Quanta-Ray Lab 170 YAG Laser

Our Quanta-Ray Lab 170 laser provides nanosecond pulses at wavelengths of 1064, 532 and 355 nm. The laser output is used to pump our optical parametric amplifier (OPO) and doubler.

versaScan OPO and uvScan Doubler

The versaScan OPO and uvScan doubler are installed in the Flexiscan housing. The system provides a pulsed output, continuously tunable from 260 to 2500 nm and operating at a repetition rate of up to 10 Hz.

UV-Vis Pump/Infrared Probe Setup

Our home-built external accessory to our FTIR spectrometer entails a spectroscopic flow cell fitted with UV-vis and IR transparent windows. The cell is coupled to a Harvard Apparatus PhD pump for precise delivery of reactants.

Preparation Lab

Our renovated wet lab space houses an analytical balance, a sonicator, several hot plates, a pH meter, a water purification system, two water chillers, a hood, and additional auxiliary equipment.
