Chris Kirby and Harry Kent presented a revised form to all UCT members for review and approval to move forward. Chris and Harry discussed how proposed recommendations were incorporated into the document. Further discussion followed with the committee members discussing issues around dissemination. Dialogue focused on timing of the evaluation, suggested incentives to increase student responses, communicating the UGɬ﷬ Advisor evaluation process to the faculty overall. Jackie Learner moved the acceptance of the proposal seconded by Akua Sarr vote to approve unanimous. Jackie and the UTC thanks Chris and Harry for their responsiveness to the committees suggestions and congratulated the team for a job well done. The proposal would move to the Provosts Office. 3.0 Faculty Peer Evaluation A report by faculty from LSOE by Drs Arnold Dearing, ODwyer and McQuillan entitled, Supporting a Culture of Teaching Excellence: Summary and Proposed Policy on Faculty Peer Observation of Teaching was provided to each member of the UTC. Jackie Learner provided a background and context for the paper and how the LSOE plans and recommendation for implementing a peer review process on teaching. She indicated that the report included other examples of faculty peer review experiences from other school at ɬ﷬. A discussion began about the process and additional examples provided.
