Alfred C. Yen is Professor of Law and Dean's Distinguished Scholar at ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Law School. He is a nationally known scholar who has published numerous articles about copyright law, the Internet, sports law, Asian-American legal issues, and law teaching. He is also the co-author ofÌýÌý(West Academic).

Yen has held many positions of leadership within legal education. He has served as the chair of the AALS Professional Development Committee.Ìý He has also served on the AALS Membership Review Committee, the Board of Editors for theÌýJournal of Legal Education,Ìýand the Board of Governors for the Society of American Law Teachers. In 2001, the American Law Institute elected him to membership. Additionally, Yen has served as Chair of the Association of American Law Schools Section on Art Law, the Section on Minority Groups, and the Section on Sports Law. He organized the first, fifth, and tenth Conference of Asian Pacific American Law Faculty, all of which were held at ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Law School.Ìý

In 2020, Yen became Editor-in-Chief of theÌýJournal of the Copyright Society, a leading peer reviewed journal in that field. He also presently holds appointments as Invited Professor at the Université Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne Law School and Visiting Scholar at the University of Arizona Law School.ÌýÌý
