Profile

Lumina Sato works as a Public Defender at Committee for Public Counsel Services. She graduatedÌýcum laudeÌýfrom ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Law School, where she was a Public Service Scholar and a recipient of the Lewis S. Gurwitz Award for commitment to indigent defense. During law school she represented clients as a student attorney in the ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Defenders Clinic and ɬÀï·¬ÏÂÔØ Immigration & Asylum Project, and worked at Prisoners’ Legal Services. Prior to law school she worked as an immigration paralegal at Masferrer & Associates, working primarily with clients facing deportation for their criminal records. Lumina holds a B.A. in Development Studies from Brown University. She is fluent in Spanish.
