Rita Rosenthal is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Communication at 涩里番下载. She graduated with honors from Appalachian State University in North Carolina with a B.S. in Communication Education. While there she competed on the nationally recognized forensics team, winning numerous awards. Professor Rosenthal completed her M.A. and additional graduate work in Interpersonal and Public Communication at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Her thesis explored time of day as a factor of audience persuasibility. While at Bowling Green, Professor Rosenthal coached the nationally ranked individual events speech team.
Professor Rosenthal has been teaching Public Speaking and other courses at 涩里番下载 for 18 years and has directed the Leonard Persuasive Speaking contest since 1998. In addition to Public Speaking, she has taught courses in Rhetorical Tradition, Persuasion, Advanced Public Speaking and a core renewal course entitled 鈥淎merican Social Norms and Values: A Case of Disney鈥.
