Donald Frederico has practiced law in Massachusetts and represented clients in courts nationally for more than 40 years. For more than 25 years, he has focused his practice on class action litigation. He has chaired the class action practices of two national law firms and one regional firm, and has served on the Planning Committee of the American Bar Association’s National Institute on Class Actions.
Frederico has handled a wide variety of class action and other complex litigation matters for his clients in numerous state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Among his many representations, he served as lead national class action counsel for a group of 14 pharmaceutical companies in the Diet Drug ("fen-phen") Multi-District Litigation, and as national class action counsel for a Fortune 50 retailer in some of the country’s largest state and federal wage and hour class actions.
Frederico has frequently published and presented on class action topics. He co-authored the First Circuit chapter in the American Bar Association's Survey of Federal Class Action Law, and the Massachusetts chapter in the ABA's A Practitioner's Guide to Class Actions. He has appeared both as a host and a guest on the ABA's class actions podcast, "Common Questions."
Frederico is a member of the House of Delegates of the American Bar Association and a past President of the Boston Bar Association.
