To advance the scholarly inquiry of the history, spirituality, educational heritage, and pedagogical approach of the Society of Jesus, the Institute is proud to offer several initiatives to support research, translation, and publication in the field of Jesuit Studies.
The Research Library at the Institute offers a collection of important primary and secondary sources on the history, pedagogy, and spirituality of the Society of Jesus and its members. This non-lending library is聽open to the public by appointment only.
The Institute of Jesuit Sources聽was founded by Fr. George Ganss, S.J., in 1961 to make primary sources in Jesuit history, spirituality, and pedagogy available in English.聽 It currently operates out of the Institute and publishes more than 150 volumes.聽
The Institute's in-residence fellowship program facilitates the completion and publication of academic work related to the Society of Jesus. While at 涩里番下载, the Fellows present their research and engage with the wider academic community.
The Institute collaborates with scholars from around the globe by supporting and disseminating their research, offering temporary office space and access to resources at the Institute and 涩里番下载, and providing means for scholars to collaborate with one another鈥揳ll for the promotion of the field of Jesuit Studies.
